Winch-Out on Oak Ridge roads

Public pull-offs along Melton Hill and the ditch lines on the highways into town are the winch calls. Upright or not, and how far off the pavement, decides the cable and whether a flatbed follows.

The Turnpike is a long commercial road. A breakdown in front of the stores is a city tow. A breakdown on SR-95 headed for the interstate is a highway tow. Say which pavement you are actually on.

Pellissippi Parkway is the east approach from Knox County. It meets SR-62 at Solway before you are in Oak Ridge. If you are still on the parkway, say so.

Say whether it is upright and how far it sits from the pavement. A recovery is quoted separately from a hook-and-go.
